My name is Dorjay Stanzin, and I am the proud owner and host of Gyastak Homestay in beautiful Ladakh, India. I have been welcoming guests to my home since 2004, offering an authentic Ladakhi experience rooted in hospitality, tradition, and connection with nature. In 2013, Gyastak Homestay was officially registered with the Ladakh Tourism Department, making it part of the region’s growing network of sustainable, community-based tourism.
At 46 years old, I bring not just years of experience, but also a deep love for my land, culture, and wildlife. I am also a certified Snow Leopard Guide, helping visitors discover the elusive "ghost of the mountains" during winter wildlife treks in Hemis National Park and surrounding areas.
As your host, I make sure every guest feels like family. Whether you're coming for a peaceful retreat, cultural immersion, or wildlife adventure, I strive to offer warm hospitality, home-cooked Ladakhi meals, and local knowledge that make your stay unforgettable.
