Julley! I’m Tsewang Dorjay, your host at Stakchung Homestay, nestled in the heart of the historic and spiritual village of Thiksey, just a short drive from Leh. I was born and raised here in Ladakh, and I take great pride in preserving and sharing our region’s rich cultural heritage.
At our homestay, my family and I offer more than just a room—we offer a glimpse into traditional Ladakhi life, with homemade meals, warm hospitality, and peaceful surroundings. Whether you are exploring Thiksey Monastery, visiting Pangong or Nubra, or simply looking to slow down and reconnect with nature, our doors are always open.
We speak English, Hindi, and Ladakhi, and are always happy to help you plan your travels, learn about local customs, or even join us in the kitchen for a cooking session.
